Directive play
, where the therapist holds structured activities by providing selected play materials and encouraging the child to use them in the enactment of “pretend” situations and the expression of feelings.

Filial therapy
a method by which your therapist teaches and supervises child-centred play sessions engaging both the child and yourself as a parent(s) thereby engaging parents as partners in the therapeutic process.  Lastly, Sand Tray therapy - this technique facilitaites healing in children, allowing them to express their thoughts and feelings when words alone are not enough.

Life frequently demands more and more of us and can often have a negative effect on our emotional wellbeing, individual counselling can provide you with the tools needed to achieve and maintain emotional wellbeing in life.

When it comes to individual therapy, I work with you one-on-one.  Methods I use among others include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical behavioural therapy).  By making use of CBT you are able to learn to recognise your behaviour patterns and identify the thought process behind your decisions. Through challenging decisions, you will enable yourself to re-establish control in your life. As for DBT - The term "dialectical" comes from the idea that bringing together two opposites in therapy -- acceptance and change -- brings better results than either one alone.

It is my goal to work with you and provide you with objective counselling and support throughout the duration of your therapy, helping you to reach a state of personal growth and maintain your emotional wellbeing.

Call me and get your intake session booked, typically intake sessions for couples & families are 1 hour 30min, for individuals 1 hour and for children's therapy only 30min.  Councelling session durations thereafter are typically 45min.
